Besides winter and spring holidays, international students can have China's national holidays including 1st of May (Labor Day), 1st of October (China's National Day) , 1st of January (New Year's Day), Tomb-sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-autumn Festival. Holiday timetable will be released on NUFE website.
International student can travel in areas open to foreigners. Entering an area which is not open to foreigners is illegal and will be punished by the public security authority according to related laws of China.
If international students would like to organize activities related with national holiday or tradition, they must write application to get the permission from the College of International Education in advance.
If international students buy motor vehicles, including motorcycles, in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Administration of Road Traffic, they shall drive motor vehicles verified by the vehicle management authority, get official number plates and driving licenses in addition to complying with the traffic rules when driving. International students involved in road traffic accidents as a result of failure to comply with laws and regulations will be subject to legal action and subsequent damages.
China respects and protects the freedom of religious belief. According to relevant laws, any religious group or follower is not allowed to worship, preach, publicize theism, give out religious leaflets, or publish religious books in non-religious or public places. International students can participate in religious activities in the religious venues that are officially accredited by relevant authorities.
