NUFE Holds the Opening Ceremony for 2019 Students & 35th Commendation Conference for Teachers’ Day

On the morning of September 10, the 2019 Opening Ceremony & 35th Teachers’ Day Commendation Conference was held at the gym of Xianlin Campus. NUFE CPC Party Secretary ZHANG Limin, President CHENG Yongbo, and other university leaders attended the ceremony, together with a total of 5,194 new undergraduates and postgraduates. Deputy Party Secretary WEN Panya presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, CPC Secretary Zhang and President Cheng awarded certificates to outstanding teachers and research teams.

President Cheng delivered a speech at the ceremony. On behalf of all the members of the university, he extended his warm welcome to the students and sent best wishes to all the assiduous teachers. He then introduced the development course of the university and further encouraged the new students to inherit the spirit of the university and to be “Modest. Self-Confident, Practical, Excelled”.

Vice President LI Qun announced that 16 students would be awarded the freshmen scholarship. University leaders presented the awards to these 16 students.

Representatives of guests, teachers and students shared their suggestions and hopes.

Accompanied by the loud singing of university anthem , the 2019 Opening Ceremony & 35th Teachers’ Day Commendation Conference came to a successful conclusion.
