On the afternoon of March 17th, Chancellor Chen Zhanglong, meets Hon. Steve Maharey, President of New Zealand Massey University and Michael O’Shaughnessy, Director of International Department in the V.I.P Room of the administrative building on Xianlin Campus.
Chancellor Chen Zhanglong welcomes President Maharey delegation, expressing that the cooperation between Massey University and Nanjing University of Finance and Economics is promising. As a world-famous university, Massey University has cooperated with NUFE in several projects, including “2+2 dual Undergraduate Project in Finance”and“1.5+2.5 Project in Finance”. Both parties reach an agreement to deepen cooperation in following three fields: Students Projects, such as “1+1 Graduate Project”, Teachers’ Exchange, and Study-in-China Project.
President Maharey thanks for the warm reception and praises students sent to Massey University, looking forward to further cooperation with NUFE.

After the conference, President Maharey gives a lecture “Internationalizing University Education in 21st Century——Massey University: Suggesting to Building Comprehensive University toward 21st Century”. The lecture is hosted by Vice-President Xu Chengming and attracts over 200 teachers and students. As the former Minister of Education of New Zealand, President Maharey introduces the internationalizing strategy and process in Massey University and interacts with audience during the lecture.
