On the morning of April 15, Vice-President Xu Chengming meets Professor Andre Roy, Dean of School of Environmental Studies and Sarah Ashpole from University of Watterloo (Canada) in the V.I.P. room 1408 of the administrative building on Xianlin Campus.
During the meeting, Vice-President Xu states that the approval of our student exchange program by the Ministry of Education marks the six-year-long student exchange program officially becomes a Sino-foreign joint education program and the cooperation between our two universities has been raised to a new level. Vice-President Xu points out the balance between economic development and environmental protection has already become a hot topic in international community and China is no exception. It is visionary for the School of Environmental Studies of University of Waterloo to establish the major of Environment and Business. Therefore, the cooperation between our two universities shows a good perspective. Since both parties have achieved gradual results in student exchange, our university will explore how to extend the cooperation from student exchange to discipline construction on the next step. Professor Andre Roy expresses his gratitude to the warm reception from Vice-president Xu and his support for Xu’s views. He also shows his willingness to achieve much deeper cooperation with NUFE in the future.
