Newly admitted students should check this webpage for updates. Detailed arrival information, pick-up plans, and contact details will be provided during the summer vacation. As a tradition, NUFE will provide three or four days of free pick-up at Nanjing Lukou International Airport (NKG) for new students enrolled in the Chinese Foundation Program. Please book your flight once the exact arrival plan of NUFE are confirmed. Thank you.
We strongly recommend that all new students read the tutorials in the Orientation & Arrival section (http://english.nufe.edu.cn/Admission1/orientation_arrival.htm) of the NUFE admissions portal. This will help them familiarize themselves with essential information regarding visa applications, arrival details, residence permits, and insurance.
Please note that most international students holding a Chinese study visa (X1 Type) must complete temporary accommodation registration (临时住宿登记/临住/Linzhu) within 24 hours of arriving at their residence. The X1 visa is valid for only 30 days after entering China. Students must complete the temporary accommodation registration, undergo a health checkup, and apply to the immigration department to convert the X1 visa into a Residence Permit before the visa expires. For health checkup, temporary accommodation registration and residence permit affairs that you must finish after arrival, please review this webpage (http://english.nufe.edu.cn/info/1108/2151.htm). Overstaying your visa will lead to severe punishments by the immigration authority.
For admitted students who wish to decline their admission, please email at liuning@nufe.edu.cn. Please note that NUFE will cancel the admission for students who have not completed the arrival and registration procedures by October 2, 2026.
Chinese Foundation Program Student Arrival Plan
Arrival and Registration Periods: September 15 to September 18, 2026. We recommend booking your flight for arrival between September 15 and 17, since most new students will be arriving during this time.

Airport Pick-up: NUFE will organize volunteers to welcome new Foundation Program students and provide free bus transportation from the domestic arrivals gate at T1 and T2 domestic arrival terminals of Nanjing Lukou International Airport (NKG, 南京禄口国际机场国内到达处) to Fujianlu Campus.

We did not receive any pickup applications on September 18, so the service is unavailable on that day.
Starter packs are available at the Fujianlu Campus registration site, including bedding, daily necessities, and moving essentials. These packs are provided by the same supplier for new Chinese students at a price of approximately 500 CNY.
