On the afternoon of December 6, Professor Colette Plum, Deputy Director of Berkeley Study Abroad, visited NUFE to strengthen the cooperation between the two universities. NUFE Vice President QIU Weifen met with her at Xianlin campus.
Prof. Qiu Weifen extended her welcome to the visit of Prof. Colette Plum. She reviewed the cooperation between the two universities, with an emphasis on the Berkeley Summer Sessions in which the two parties had closely cooperated for nearly 10 years. During the past ten years, more than 200 students have been given the opportunity to study at this top university. Students benefit a lot from the program, which plays a positive role in their further study and self-development. Prof. Qiu hoped the two sides could maintain and further expand the cooperative relationship to benefit more students.
Prof. Colette Plum expressed her thanks to NUFE’s reception. She said that UC Berkeley attached great importance to the cooperation with NUFE, one of the earliest partners of Berkeley Summer Sessions. She also praised the NUFE students for their good performance at UC Berkeley and stressed that they would continue to support NUFE students to study at their university.
Prof. YAO Wenyun, Director of the Department of Accounting, and Prof. HUANG Neng, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges also attended the meeting, after which Prof. Colette Plum gave a lecture to students about the Berkeley Summer Sessions and received warm welcome.
