NUFE offers a Welcome Week program for all incoming students.
China is a wonderful country to visit and live in, but it can be a little tricky to find everything on your own at first. With this in mind, the first week of school will have many activities and tours to get new students acclimated to the area. During this week, new students will also meet with their liaisons and have the opportunity to sit down and ask any questions about daily life.
Welcome Week starts on the first day of the semester. An overview of the activities can be found below:
Airport Pick-up: NUFE offers a pick-up service for students arriving at Nanjing International Airport. Simply send us your arrival information and we will arrange a car or small bus to pick you up and bring you to the University.
Receive name cards: At NUFE, safety and security are principle issues. Students are encouraged to explore Nanjing and make new friends. With that in mind, students will be provided name cards that will contain important information, such as, name, address, and contact information of the International Office. With the NUFE name card, all a student needs to do is show it to a taxi driver who will drive you right home.
Introduce students to liaisons: One of the advantages of NUFE’s program will be that students have a liaison that they can develop a friendship with. Liaisons will be students currently enrolled at NUFE as English Majors. We believe that it is important for students to have a native Chinese speaker who can help out with day-to-day problems, provide limited help with homework, and show them around areas that they may not find otherwise. Our program is not just a language program, but also a cultural exchange program.
